FLAMING LIPS FIGHT FOR STATE SONG
Eccentric rockers THE FLAMING LIPS are fighting to land the new official state tune in their native Oklahoma.
The trio's Do You Realize? hit is on a shortlist of 10 tracks by state natives under consideration to become the new Oklahoma anthem.
The Official Oklahoma Rock Song Advisory Panel has set up a website, where locals can vote for their favourite - and The Flaming Lips hope fans come through for them.
In a statement, the band says, "Voting has begun so log in and do the right thing America!"
Do You Realize? is up against songs from other Oklahoma-born acts like Hoyt Axton, J.J. Cale and All American Rejects.
Fans and state natives can vote for their favourite tune at OklahomaRockSong.org.

*wo0t!* "Do You Realize?" is one the best tFL songs, so that song better win!
