FLAMENCO STAR PANTOJA ARRESTED

Spanish star ISABEL PANTOJA has been arrested in Malaga on suspicion of money-laundering and tax evasion. The flamenco singer was detained by police on Wednesday (02May07) in connection to a construction bribery investigation which has already put her ex-mayor boyfriend behind bars. Pantoja, 50, who denies any wrongdoing, appeared before an investigating judge in the resort town of Marbella yesterday (03May07). She was later released after posting 90,000 euros ($122,500/GBP61,250) in bail. Pantoja's detention is the latest in a year-long probe that has led to almost 100 arrests in Marbella.
