FIENNES LINED UP FOR VIVALDI BIOPIC

British actor JOSEPH FIENNES has been lined up to star in a biopic of 18th century composer ANTONIO VIVALDI, according to reports. The Shakespeare In Love star is alleged to have landed the lead role in a movie based on the life of the Venetian music maestro, starring alongside Gerard Depardieu, Jacqueline Bisset and Malcolm MACDowell. A source tells British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, "(The film) will follow the career of the violinist and baroque composer from his first opera at the age of 13 to its culmination in (seminal classical work) The Four Seasons. "The idea has been in the pipeline for some time now and the money is now there. Joseph will be working alongside a stellar cast, which includes Gerard Depardieu, Malcolm MACDowell and Jacqueline Bisset."
