FFLAM FESTIVAL POSTPONED

Wales' Fflam festival has been postponed due to "consistently bad weather conditions" threatening to turn the event into a mud bath.

The Swansea event was due to take place over three days from July 13th to July 15th at Singleton Park.

Bands including Keane, the Cribs, Manic Street Preachers, Placebo, Feeder, Dirty Pretty Things and Supergrass were all scheduled to play at the event.

In a statement posted on the festival's website, the organisers said they had come to a "hard, but well-considered decision".

"Due to the bad weather, we have been delayed in putting the infrastructure in place and it is a big concern that the weather conditions will hugely dampen the experience we want to give all our festival goers," the statement read.

"Postponing the festival will mean that we can give everyone the Fflam festival experience they deserve, bands, organisers and festival goers alike."

The organisers expect a new date to be scheduled at the end of the summer and said they were doing everything "as quickly and efficiently as possible".

Refunds will be available shortly for those who do not wish to attend the re-arranged festival.

Before the postponement, festival goers had been told that there would be no "official festival campsite" due to licensing restrictions.

All camping holders were offered refunds.
