FESTIVAL-HOPEFULS CLAMOUR TO REGISTER FOR GLASTONBURY

Festival-goers keen to don their wellies and get muddy were logging on to register for tickets for GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL 2008 this morning.

To be in with a chance of gaining one of the coveted tickets, festival hopefuls must register their details, including a picture of themselves, between February 1st and March 14th.

Fans can register at the official GLASTONBURY website or by picking up a form in UK branches of camping supplies store Millets.

Last year around 400,000 people registered for GLASTONBURY, for which only 145,000 tickets were available.

Those who lay their hands on a ticket into Worthy Farm can not only see acts perform on a range of stages but can also enjoy a wealth performing arts and art and craft stalls at the event.

The full 2008 line-up is not yet confirmed but the 2007 festival featured chart-topping artists such as AMY WINEHOUSE, the ARCTIC MONKEYS and LILY ALLEN.

Already confirmed for this year's mud-fest are NEIL DIAMOND and LEONARD COHEN with MASSIVE ATTACK, PORTISHEAD, ERIC CLAPTON and KANYE WEST all tipped as favourites to make an appearance at the festival.
