FESTIVAL BOSS DENIES LYING ABOUT FAITH NO MORE REUNION
Fans of reformed rockers FAITH NO MORE are fuming after a music festival boss "lied" about staging the band's only U.K. performance.
Download Festival chief John Probyn promoted the June (09) bash, using an "exclusive" performance by the Mike Patton-fronted band to lure fans.
The group, reforming after 11 years, subsequently announced further shows in London, Leeds and Reading, leaving devotees furious.
But Probyn insists he never lied to fans, and maintains the further dates were added after promotional material for Download had been released.
He tells eFestivals.com, "We don't tell lies, we give people information based on facts at the time. What's the point in me misleading a fan, is that going to make them want to buy tickets in the future?"
