FERRY SHOCKED BY ADVANCING YEARS
ROXY MUSIC frontman BRYAN FERRY is shocked by his advancing years - because he doesn't consider himself to be "grown-up".
The ageing rocker, who turns 63 next month (Sep08), hates to think about his age - because he still feels like a teen.
He says, "Age is extraordinary. When you see the numbers, you can't believe it. I feel I should have a stick, because that's how we used to think. Like you were on your way out. I still think I'm on my way in."
And the singer has no intention of changing his ways as he approaches retirement age, insisting he doesn't feel as mature as his pension-collecting peers.
Ferry adds, "It's silly but I still feel other people are more grown-up. Bank managers are grown-up people and, by comparison, I feel slightly degenerate. I think, 'When I grow up I'll do this or that', and I haven't quite got there yet."
