FEDERLINE'S LAWYER REVELS IN MEDIA SCRUTINY OF CUSTODY CASE
KEVIN FEDERLINE's attorney is grateful for the intense media interest in his client's ongoing custody case with BRITNEY SPEARS, because having the pop star's every move captured on camera has saved him the cost of hiring a private detective.
Lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan admits he has been spared at least $500,000 (GBP250,000) in the case, because every detail of Spears' day-to-day life is documented on gossip websites and magazines - so he has no need to hire a private investigator to do the dirty work for him.
He says, "If I had to hire an investigator or investigators to provide me with the intelligence about what's going on, where they are, how are they doing, it would be north of half a million to a million dollars... as opposed to buying People magazine for $3.95 on Thursday morning or going on (website) TMZ.
"Everyone who had a big toe in this case at every level followed what was going on by looking at the web sites."
And Kaplan is delighted to have landed such a big case - because the long-running legal wranglings will go down in history.
He adds, "No other case has had the media addiction and frenzy that surrounded this case and these people 24-seven. There's never been anything like this, and there probably won't be for a while."

Hi- This is Fran from the Bronx. I wrote my comment yesterday, but I need to correct
a few things. I think it was on the 11th line. I wrote, If a patient of any of the
counselors had ACS cases - I meant to say that ACS is what they call children's service
s in the Bronx, NY.
Also at the end, I wrote something about Kevin. What I meant to say,is that the worse
thing that could happen to Brittany is for her to go back to Kevin!! GODFORBID!!!
I think that Kevin was her downfall, and he doesn't care about anything except MONEY!!
She is doing great, and has been very busy doing positive things. Also - Mark Vincent,
considering that Kevin had no money before meeting Brittany, would you have taken
his case PRO BONO!!!! I don't think so. Brittany needs to have full custody of her
children, and obviously Kevin's career as a rapper, is not happening, he needs to
get a REAL JOB!! If anyone has any comments, they can e-mail me at franfran6e@yahoo.com.
I have written both you and Kevin before and stated what despicable people I think
you both are. Why are you writing all these articles at this time? Why should you
have hire a detective? - so that you can bill Brittany. I beleive the Judge Gordon
dislikes Brittany because of all the negative and disgusting things you have brought to
his attention. I think the worst thing was when you brought the video of Brittany
being taken out in a stretcher to show the judge soon right after it happened. At
that time, when Brittany was in crisis, why would the judge grant Kevin full custody.
Also, Kevin is a parasite, and if it wasn't for Brittany, he would still be on the
street smoking cocaine. Also where would he get the money to live the life style
he is now living. I worked in a methadone maintenance treatment program for over 25
years as a counselor. If any of our patients had ACS cases (that is what it is called
in Bronx, NY) and the children were temporarily removed, the parents saw the children
every week at the agency which they were involved with. It was very important for the
mother to see their children and interact with them so that the children did not
think their parents abandoned them. I think what Judge Gordon did by not letting
Brittany see her precious and gourgeous children for seven weeks was horrendous.
At their ages, that is a long time, and their could be consequences for that. I think
that Brittany looks great, healthy, and she is doing positive things. Mark Vincent
said in a "Life & Style" magazine a few weeks ago, that Brittany is doing good, but is
not "cured". It is obvious that Mr. Vincent does not know anything about addiction
or mental illness. I knew that Brittany was suffering from bi-polar because I had
patients that also had that, and other mental illness. It appeared that no one cared
to really see what her problems were. Bi-polar is a difficult mental illness to treat.
You have to find the right medication that works for you,(dosage) and possibly she
may have other comorbitity illnesses with it. I have Adult ADHD, OCD, etc. It is a daily
struggle, and people need alot of support. I am so happy to see her and her children
together. They appear to adore and love her, and it is obvious how she feels about
them. I feel that Brittany should get overnight visits, and then go for some type of
custody. She has made a 180 degree turn in her life, and I credit her father for
coming back in her life at the right time. The worst thing she could do was to go
back with KEVIN!!!!!!!!!
