FBI PROBING 'COPPERFIELD WAREHOUSE'
An FBI investigation has been launched into a warehouse reportedly used by famous magician David Copperfield.
The US law enforcement agency reportedly raided the storage facility in Las Vegas yesterday and seized a computer hard disk, camera systems and approximately $2 million (£0.97 million) in cash.
A spokesperson for the FBI confirmed that an investigation was taking place in the area, but declined to give further details.
"The only thing we're confirming right now is that there was some investigative activity in the Las Vegas area yesterday connected with a Seattle-area case, both of which are pending," the representative added.
Speaking about the raid on the warehouse, the Copperfield's attorney said: "We understand there is an investigation, (we) are in touch with the investigators, and are respecting the confidentiality of the investigation."
Copperfield performs regularly for huge crowds in Las Vegas and is one of the wealthiest entertainers in the world, with earnings of over $50 million (£24 million), according to Forbes magazine.
