FAVREAU: 'I'M NOT AVAILABLE FOR AVENGERS'

JON FAVREAU has turned down THE AVENGERS - insisting Marvel studios will have to find someone else to direct the comic book movie.
The Iron Man filmmaker was expected to take charge of the classic superhero collaboration, which will see Iron Man, the Hulk and Captain America team up on the big screen.
But Favreau has disappointed fans by confirming he will not helm the blockbuster - but he will put his own spin on the film in his role as executive producer.
He tells Access Hollywood, "They'll have to (find a different director). It's something I'm being the executive producer on, so I'll definitely have input and a say. But I will not be available (for the job)."
The film is slated for a 2010 release.
