FAST AND FURIOUS RODRIGUEZ DEFENDS PAPARAZZO ATTACK
Actress MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ has defended her decision to terrorise a paparazzo at a Mexican airport on Saturday (28Mar09), insisting the snapper shouldn't bother stars in wheelchairs.
The Fast & The Furious star was being escorted from a plane to her car, after she was taken ill, when the paparazzo started taking pictures - and when he refused to leave the actress alone, she snapped.
Rodriguez says, "I passed out after coming out of the airplane after, like, visiting six different countries in 10 days... They put me in a wheelchair because I couldn't breathe."
In video footage, which made its way online, the actress is seen leaping out of the wheelchair and chasing the photographer through a parking lot.
She adds, "That's called fight or flight. I just don't think that's nice. I mean who cares? Who wants to see me go into a car, coming out of the airport.
"That guy's really lucky he has long legs."
The actress' outburst comes just a day after Farrah Fawcett went public with her distress after she was photographed in a wheelchair at Los Angeles International Airport.
The former Charlie's Angels star was returning from Germany, where she is undergoing cancer treatment, when the snapper started taking pictures of her on Saturday (28Mar09).
In an online video message, the angry actress says, "I didn't want to be photographed in a wheelchair, which is what they're always trying to get. That just p**ses me off."
