FASHION DESIGNER JACOBS ENGAGED

Fashion designer MARC JACOBS is engaged to his boyfriend of one year, according to U.S. reports.
The 45-year-old designer and ad executive Lorenzo Martone will go public with the news on Thursday (19Mar09), when they arrive in Martone's native Brazil wearing rings, according to Women's Wear Daily.
Jacobs and Martone will be in Sao Paolo celebrating the designer's new store, which opened in the city last January (09).
Earlier this month (Mar09), Martone hinted at the impending union to Fashion Week Daily: "We experienced a really great vacation in St. Barth's recently. It was during the winter in December (08). It was super warm, people were relaxed, tanned, and we were having an amazing time with our friends. So why not? Maybe a New Year's Eve wedding in St. Barth's would be really fun."
