The crypt above movie icon MARILYN MONROE's final resting place was sold for $4.6 million (£2.9 million) on Monday (24Aug09). Bidding for the site at Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles, where Monroe was laid to rest in 1962, started on auction website eBay.com on 14 August (09).
