FASCINATING FACT 7855
ANDY WARHOL's portrait of MICHAEL JACKSON was sold at auction on Tuesday (18Aug09). Owners of New York's Vered Gallery could not disclose the price of the final bid but confirmed the anonymous collector paid more than $1 million (£666,670). The painting shows the grinning King Of Pop wearing a red jacket from his 1980s Thriller heyday.
