FARROW'S TEENAGE SON JOINS HER IN FAST

MIA FARROW's teenage son ISAIAH has made mum proud by fasting with her.
The actress has been on hunger strike since Monday (27Apr09), as part of an effort to raise awareness about the plight of starving refugees in the Sudan.
And she has just heard that her son spent 24 hours refusing to eat - as a mark of solidarity.
In her latest daily blog, Farrow writes, "My 17-year-old son Isaiah is at a nearby boarding school. This is part of an email from his teacher and advisor: 'A couple of days ago, Isaiah announced (in a very mature and professional manner) that he was going to join you for one day on a hunger strike to bring attention to Darfur. As promised, he went for 24 hours without eating, and he did it very stoically.'
"I am a very proud mother."
And Farrow also reveals she has told her kids that she will end her three-week fast if she starts suffering health problems.
The 64 year old adds, "Initially they (children) were worried and opposed to it (hunger strike) but I have been successful in assuring them I will end the fast if anything goes wrong. They phone me every day and they support me."
