FARRELL FORCED TO RECRUIT NEW MEMBERS TO SATELLITE PARTY

Former EXTREME star NUNO BETTENCOURT has quit PERRY FARRELL's new band SATELLITE PARTY. The guitarist and drummer Kevin Figg have left the band and will be replaced by Nick Perri and Jordan Plosky. Former Jane's Addiction frontman Farrell admits he's inspired by the bandmember changes. He says, "We are about to go further and deeper. I have been greatly inspired in assembling the Satellite Party's American tour. "As is the case with all launched projectiles, parts fall off the back as the rocket climbs toward heaven. In stage two Nuno and Kevin disengaged." Farrell reveals his new members came from a jam session bass player Carl Restivo took part in at the recent 'Dimebag' Darrel Abbott benefit concert in Hollywood. The singer adds, "(Carl said) he (Perri) was an exceptional young (guitar) player who was an amazing performer. He came in for his audition, and plugged straight into the amp. The room was struck by a bolt of lightning. He caused a frenzy. "And Jordan is a great modern drummer. His style is perfectly suited for what we are up to."
