FARRELL DENIES JANE'S ADDICTION REUNION RUMOURS
Former JANE'S ADDICTION frontman PERRY FARRELL has dismissed rumours the band are to stage a reunion gig at his upcoming Lollapalooza music festival.
Farrell rejoined the rockers on stage at the U.S. NME magazine awards in April (08) - the first time the group have appeared with their original line-up in 15 years.
But the singer - who created the Lollapalooza festival in 1991 as a farewell to the band - has dashed fans' hopes of a second reunion, insisting Jane's Addiction won't be making any surprise appearances at the Chicago, Illinois, event.
He tells MTV.com, "Not this year. This year, I couldn't ask for a better line-up. But it's going to be quite something to top 2008."
But Farrell refuses to rule out the possibility of a second reunion at next year's (09) festival.
He adds,"Wow, man - that would be a trip. When I think about the party and I think about the aftereffects, it may be worth it. It may be worth it. But don't hold me to it. As much as I'd love to have Jane's in my life, I know there's a window. We should try, shouldn't we? We're all still able to kick ass."
The Lollapalooza festival takes place this weekend, from Friday (01Aug08) to Sunday (03Aug08).
