Farrah Fawcett will be laid to rest at a private funeral on Tuesday (30.06.09).

Friends and family will gather to say their final goodbyes to the 'Charlie's Angels' actress - who lost her long battle with anal cancer on Thursday (25.06.09) - at the Cathedral of Our Lady in Los Angeles.

The service is being organized by Farrah's longtime partner Ryan O'Neal and will be open to mourners by invitation only.

The pair's son Redmond O'Neal - who is currently undergoing intensive drug treatment in a California prison - will be allowed to attend the event.

The prison's commissioner has also given Redmond permission to wear a black suit instead of his jail uniform.

Ryan was "devastated" when Farrah died aged 62, but is relieved she is no longer in pain.

He said: "She's gone. She now belongs to the ages. She's now with her mother and sister and her God. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much. She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She's in a better place now."
