FARIS MOVES INTO PRODUCER ROLE
ANNA FARIS has vowed to produce all of her upcoming movie projects - in an effort to bolster her acting career and make more female-friendly comedy films.
The actress admits she is sick of being offered roles in romantic comedies and wants to focus her attention on finding funny parts.
And Faris is adamant the only way she will be able to make those movies is if she puts her weight behind each production as a producer.
She tells Moviehole.net, "It's such a challenge to get a female-driven movie made - and as much as I like doing romantic comedies, I like doing just straight-out female comedies more - so I decided if I wanted to keep doing them, I'd have to start developing them myself.
"So, we'll see... I'm trying to get some more going... and hopefully some people will decide they want to invest some money in me."
And Faris is already working on her next project - teaming up with Adam Sandler, who produced her 2008 comedy The House Bunny.
She adds, "It's a female buddy comedy. It'll be fun to team up with another funny lady."
