FANTASIA EXTENDS COLOR PURPLE RUN
AMERICAN IDOL star FANTASIA BARRINO love affair with Broadway is set to continue - the singer has extended her run in hit musical THE COLOR PURPLE.
The Believe singer's role of Celie in the stage spectacular has been critically acclaimed, and now she'll stay with the show until January (08).
Barrino made her Broadway debut in The Color Purple back in April (07). She was scheduled for a limited six month engagement.
The singer won the 2007 Theater World Award for her performance as Celie.
