FANS TURN NASTY AFTER DOHERTY SHOW

British rocker PETE DOHERTY's set at U.K. music festival V turned sour after the sound was turned off by organisers when he went over his allocated time slot.
The Babyshambles singer was performing a solo set on Sunday (23Aug08) at the event in Staffordshire, England and was singing his rendition of Beatles classic Twist and Shout when sound engineers pulled the plug and turned off the electricity.
Doherty was seemingly furious that his 17-song set had been interrupted before its completion, and tried to carry on but gave up as the huge crowd was unable to hear him.
He stormed off stage after saying sorry to revellers.
But fans turned on the festival's organisers for the interruption, and began pelting the stage with glasses and bottles in a bid to show their disappointment - and began chanting the star's name for 15 minutes.
It wasn't the first time an act was plunged into silence at the weekend (22/23Aug09) event - fans turned nasty after Lady Gaga was forced to abandon her song Poker Face after she overran her stage time schedule.
