FANS SLAM LED ZEPPELIN COMEBACK
Fans of rock legends LED ZEPPELIN have hit out at the band's plans to tour without frontman ROBERT PLANT
The legendary rockers' bassist John Paul Jones admitted this week (begs 27Oct08) that the group is seeking a replacement for Plant so they can hit the road and also record new material.
But the announcement has prompted outrage from some fans, who have bombarded Internet forums to criticise the move.
One user wrote on NME.com: "Sacrilege, how can they do this?"
And another wrote: "ridiculous...Plant's voice is half of what made Zep who they were. It simply isn't Led Zeppelin without him."

LISTEN, IF IT WAS NOT FOR ROBERT, THE BAND WOULD HAVE TOURED LONG AGO. HE'S
JUST A STUBBORN TYPICAL SINGER FRONTMAN WHO WANTS EVERYONE TO PAY ATTENTION TO
HIM. HE NEEDS THE ATTENTION.
AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED, THEY CAN GET A FEW SINGERS & START TOURING. THEY'RE
NOT GETTING ANY YOUNGER, & WOULD LOVE TO SEE JIMMY ONE MORE TIME...

YES, ROBERT PLANT'S VOICE WAS IMPORTANT BUT JIMMY PAGE MADE THE BAND. TO HELL
WITH A SINGER AS LONG AS JIMMY PAGE WORKS HIS MAGIC. I DON'T NEED A SINGER. I
WISH THEY WOULD USE TERRY REED THOUGH. HE COULD PULL IT OFF.
