FAMILY TO 'BATTLE' OVER PAVAROTTI'S WILL
LUCIANO PAVAROTTI's family look set to come to blows over the late opera singer's fortune.
Pavarotti, who passed away last week aged 71, amassed a £250 million fortune before his death. And now his second wife NICOLETTA MANTOVANI is lining up against his three daughters in a potential clash over the will.
One friend, professor Andrea Strata, told the Sun: "It's all very sad - he isn't even cold in his tomb yet and now all this is coming out."
The tenor, who achieved worldwide fame in popular music circles after his performance at the World Cup in 1990, reportedly changed his will last month in favour of his daughters from his first marriage.
And the star also grew close to his former wife Adua Veroni in his final months, claims Professor Strata.
"He kept saying you just don't cancel nearly 40 years of marriage like that.
"He said that she had raised the children well and that she had been a good business manager for him," she said.
"I know that in the last year they had got very close again."
