FAMILY GROUP LEADER CALLS FOR COTILLARD TO BE STRIPPED OF OSCAR
The leader of a U.S. family group is calling for Academy Awards bosses to strip MARION COTILLARD of her Oscar - for calling the 9/11 terrorist attacks a fake. Pastor Robert Westman of watchdog group Options was left stunned by comments the French actress made about the collapse of the World Trade Center, which appeared on the internet in the days following her Best Actress Oscar win last month (Feb08). In the piece, which was filmed a year ago (07), Cotillard called the attacks a hoax and claimed the World Trade Center towers were destroyed to avoid costly repairs. Cotillard has since claimed her comments, which were made on French TV show Paris First, Paris Last, were taken out of context - but that's not enough for Pastor Westman. He tells America's the Globe, "Marion Cotillard proves to be just another idiot lefty-actor and ugly French woman trashing America. "She insults our country, calls us serial liars... and then expects us to honour her with an Oscar. Take away her trophy."

This looks like a mean-spirited Internet hoax. There doesn't seem to be any watchdog
group "Options" nor Pastor Robert Westman. It is sad when people can send their hurtful
garbage around the world in the blink of an eye.

This is rediculous...We, as a nation, have been under attack from many organizations...jealousy,
etc. etc. etc. Even our own government has failed us. But we are strong and will
survive. Did someone take Marion's comments out of context???? Probably???? Has she apologized...YES
!!!!
Now...to the point...did she give the best performance of any woman in the past year
in a major role.....WITHOUT QUESTION...So...how does one thing have anything to do
with the other!!!! The truth is that no one (except the devils who hurt us) really
know what happened on 9/11!!!!!!!!! Marion's viewpoint does not change the fact that
she is the BEST ACTRESS, VERY LIKELY, THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN!!!!!!!!! I'M PROUD
OF MY COUNTRY THAT WE ACKNOWLEDGED HER FOR HER GIFT TO US... The other is easily
forgiven since none of us really know the TRUTH about 9/11!!!!!!!!!! Signed...B.J.
