FAME TV SERIES TO GET THE GO-AHEAD?

A GBP7 million ($13.65 million) British TV series based on FAME and the 1980s movie musical's own television spin-off is set to begin filming in London. Television bosses hope to recreate the classic film, which centres around stage school the New York High School For The Performing Arts, on the small screen in Britain. A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "This is a project we are very interested in. "Famous is about to get the go-ahead. It's all-singing, all-dancing. We want it to be as raw as Fame - showing each and every aspect of the wannabes' lives."
