FALLON PICKS UP DEGREE AFTER 14 YEARS

U.S. comedian JIMMY FALLON finally donned a cap and gown at his university graduation on Saturday (09May09) - 14 years after he dropped out of school.
The Late Night with Jimmy Fallon host received his bachelor's degree in communications at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York among 1,800 fellow graduates.
Fallon attended the university from 1992-1995, but quit the course with just a term to go.
But college officials allowed him to collect his degree after he presented a selection of his TV and film work, earning the extra credits by demonstrating he had fulfilled the curriculum through real-life experiences.
And the funnyman made the most of his big day - taking to the stage as the ceremony's keynote speaker.
He told his fellow graduates, "There's always going to be someone out there like that movie critic, who doesn't believe in you or who thinks your head is too big or you're not smart enough," Fallon told the graduates. "But those are the people you need to ignore, and those are the times you need to just keep doing what you love doing."
