FALCO RETURNS TO TV AS COMEDY NURSE
Former THE SOPRANOS star EDIE FALCO is to front a new TV comedy starring as a New York City nurse. The actress garnered critical acclaim for her role as Carmella Soprano in the hit mafia programme and won three of the six Emmy Awards she was nominated for during her time on the show. But Falco is now turning her attentions to comedy and has signed on for the new sitcom on U.S. channel Showtime. She says, "My time on 'The Sopranos' was so rich and full. The challenge has been finding something else that would excite me. This character and the writing are truly thrilling."
