FAITHFULL DIAGNOSED WITH BREAST CANCER

Veteran singer MARIANNE FAITHFULL has postponed her world tour after being diagnosed with breast cancer. The BROKEN ENGLISH star, a former heroin addict who famously dated ROLLING STONE SIR MICK JAGGER in the 1960s, was due to head out on the road next month (OCT06). A spokesperson says, "The disease has been quickly discovered by doctors in France. The prognosis for a return to full health is excellent. Faithfull adds, "I have absolute faith and confidence in my fantastic medical team and of course I will be well again, if not better than ever. "Next year's (07) tour, I want to assure fans, will be one big celebration."
