FABOLOUS CAUGHT UP IN THEFT INVESTIGATION

LATEST: Rapper FABOLOUS has been caught up in a new crime scandal which allegedly links his shooting incident on Tuesday (17OCT06) with a robbery which targeted basketball star SEBASTIAN TELFAIR. The BREATHE rapper posted $15,000 (GBP8,300) bail on Wednesday (18OCT06) after he and members of his entourage were charged with five counts of criminal possession of a weapon in New York. The charges came after police discovered two loaded guns in the rapper's 2005 Dodge Magnum after pulling it over early on Tuesday morning (17OCT06) for allegedly running through a red light. Fabolous and his friends were fleeing the scene of the shooting and on their way to hospital, where the rapper received medical treatment for a gunshot injury, when they were pulled over by police. Police have now launched an investigation into a possible connection between the shooting and the theft of Telfair's $50,000 (GBP27,800) necklace.
