EVERETT'S IMPROMPTU DINNER REHEARSAL

Diners in a New York tearoom were given a theatrical treat when RUPERT EVERETT began rehearsing lines for his forthcoming Broadway debut in BLITHE SPIRIT. The British actor is set to star in the revival of the Noel Coward classic alongside Angela Lansbury and Christine Ebersole at New York's Shubert theater later this month (Feb09).
And the actor is seemingly keen to get his lines spot on - he brought in the owner of the Big Apple's Tea & Sympathy restaurant to help him rehearse in the middle of dinner.
A source tells New York gossip column PageSix, "Rupert was having a meal and was nervous. He was like, 'I can't learn my lines!' So he asked the owner, Nicky Perry, to sit and read with him.
"They began doing scenes right there in front of everybody. It was marvellous."
