ESTEFAN'S BULLET JEWELLERY CONFISCATED IN LONDON

GLORIA ESTEFAN has become the latest celebrity to spark an airport security alert because of her love for peace.
The Miami, Florida-based pop star was asked to remove her Bullets 4 Peace pendant before boarding a flight from London to Milan in Italy earlier this week (beg05Oct09) - because the charity line of jewellery contain real bullets.
The item was confiscated by security staff but the pilot was a fan and he agreed to hold the necklace in the cockpit for the duration of the flight - and gave it back to Estefan upon landing in Italy.
It's the second time in as many weeks that a star has had their Bullet 4 Peace piece confiscated in an airport.
Last month (Sep09), Snoop Dogg was forced to give up his socially-conscious, diamond-studded bling at Beirut International Airport on his way back to the U.S. from a concert in the Lebanon.
Ironically, those wearing the bullet jewellery are most likely the most passive passengers on a plane - designer Rafi Anteby, a former officer in the Israeli army, created the line to allow people to show their love of peace.
The necklaces feature real bullet casings that have been removed from the streets and from war zones around the globe. Each casing is then hand crafted with stunningly unique artwork.
