ERIC ROBERTS WAS 'TOO TIRED' TO AUDITION FOR HEROES ROLE
Actor ERIC ROBERTS almost missed the opportunity to be the star of hit TV show HEROES - because he was too "exhausted" to audition for the role. The 51-year-old was planning to skip the audition to play sinister Mr. Thompson in the show, but was only convinced to attend by his stepdaughter. He says, "I actually rejected the original offer to be in the show. When the call came in that they wanted me to audition, I'd been travelling the night before and I was exhausted. So I blew it out. "But my stepdaughter was already a fan, so she insisted I went along. When I looked at the scripts, I saw what the fuss was about."
