ENGLISH FESTIVAL CANCELLED

England's LodeStar Festival, set to feature BADLY DRAWN BOY and IDLEWILD, has been cancelled. Festival organiser Doug Durrant blames poor ticket sales for the cancellation of the September (07) festival in Cambridge, and believes "weather perception" affected the number of potential people in attendance. He says, "Despite a tremendous amount of effort in marketing the festival, unfortunately, we were battling against all the pictures and reports about the dreadful weather we've been having this year. "Well, ticket sales were fairly low, and totally reflective of the weather up until today. The weather might have turned around, but it's really come too late for LodeStar."
