SUPERMAN RETURNS star BRANDON ROUTH was so impressed by the beauty of the English countryside during a recent promotional trip to Britain he decided to make it the setting for his wedding proposal. The hunky actor asked girlfriend COURTNEY FORD to be his wife while the couple were driving around the west of England. He explains, "We finished the press tour (for Superman Returns) in England and we went on a little road trip to the west coast. "I did it (proposed) in the lovely countryside one afternoon. She was very shocked and surprised."
