EMMY WINNER HOWARD LANDS SCREEN ACTORS GUILD TOP JOB
Actor KEN HOWARD has scored another big win just days after picking up an Emmy - he has been elected president of Hollywood union the Screen Actors Guild.
Howard, who claimed the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie Emmy for playing Drew Barrymore's father in Grey Gardens, will serve two years in the high-powered post, beginning on Friday (25Sep09).
He beat Anne-Marie Johnson, Seymour Cassel and Asmar Muhammad to become the new SAG president.
Howard tells WENN, "I am deeply honoured to be chosen by the membership to lead the Screen Actors Guild."
