ELVIS SONGWRITER DIES
BEN WEISMAN, who helped write nearly 60 songs for ELVIS PRESLEY, has died. He was 85.
Weisman died on Sunday (21May07) at a long-term care hospital in Los Angeles from complications of a stroke and pneumonia.
He was lovingly dubbed "the mad professor" by Presley, and wrote many songs for the music legend including Rock-a-Hula Baby and Crawfish.
He also wrote for many other pop stars, including Barbra Streisand and The Beatles.
