ELVIS PILLS UP FOR AUCTION
Rare items of showbiz memorabilia including ELVIS PRESLEY's pill bottles, MARILYN MONROE's mirror, and a store card belonging to MARLON BRANDO are to be auctioned off in Las Vegas.
More than 150 items from the Some Like It Hot actress' final home in Brentwood, California - including furniture, clothing, and rare photographs - will form the centrepiece of the sale.
Her dining room table is expected to fetch $10,000 (£6,600) while a blouse worn by the star has a starting price of $7,000 (£4,600) and her umbrella is valued at $16,000 (£10,600).
Also up for auction is a cache of Elvis' belongings he gave as gifts to his personal physician George Nichopoulos, also known as Dr. Nick.
These include jewellery, books, guns - and bottles of The King's prescription drugs, including sedative Benadryl and vitamin replacement pills Vicon-C, priced at $800 (£530) each.
The auction is due to take place at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas in June (09).
