ELTON IN HIS ENTIRETY ONLINE
The complete works of SIR ELTON JOHN are to become available online.
More than 400 tracks – such is the size of the artist's back catalogue – will be on the web for digital download.
The move is timed to coincide with the launch of a new compilation album, THE ROCKET MAN.
Sir Elton said: "I've wanted my music to be available for digital download worldwide for some time, but I knew that the entire catalogue - not just the hits - needed care and attention to be released in this way."
He added: "Now that it's happening, I'm pleased for the fans' sake. The world has certainly changed since Philips Records issued my first single on seven-inch vinyl 39 years ago this month."
Sir Elton, who is due to sing for his 60th birthday in Madison Square this weekend in New York, has sold 200 million albums during his career.
He released his debut album EMPTY SKY in 1969.
