ELTON FILES LAWSUIT AGAINST CLOSE AIDE

SIR ELTON JOHN is suing his longtime business manager BOB HALLEY. The Rocket Man star, 60, issued a High Court writ against Halley earlier this week (begs21Jan08) for reasons as yet unknown. Halley has been one of John's longest serving aides - working for the star for over 30 years - and previously worked as the singer's personal assistant and chauffeur before landing the role of business manager. But this is not the first time the rocker has taken an aide to court - in 2000 John filed a multi-million pound High Court battle against ex-manager John Reid, after claiming the employee had mishandled his business affairs.
