ELLEN, REGIS + BARBARA FIGHT FOR TOP U.S. DAYTIME EMMY

ELLEN DeGENERES, REGIS PHILBIN and BARBARA WALTERS are the U.S. TV heavyweights
who will battle for the big prize at June's (08) Daytime Emmy Awards.
DeGeneres' self-named talk show has landed her a Best TV Host nomination up
against Live! frontman Philbin and Walters and her The View co-hosts.
DeGeneres' top-rated show will also compete for the Best Daytime
Entertainment Show along with The View and The Rachael Ray Show when the Emmys
are handed out on 10 June (08).
Dr. Phil and The Tyra Banks Show are the favourites to land a Best
Informative Talk Show honour, while the contenders for Outstanding Daytime
Drama are the casts of General Hospital, Guiding Light, One Life to Live and
The Young and the Restless.
