ELBOW DEDICATE LP TO DEAD PAL

British band ELBOW has dedicated its fourth album THE SELDOM SEEN KID to a late songwriting pal. Frontman Guy Garvey says the death of friend Bryan Clancy in 2006 also inspired the material in the band's latest LP. He says, "Bryan's death affected me in a bad way. "The title is just a gentle way of dedicating the record to him but its no more about celebrating his life than mourning his death. If you lose a fried it makes you appreciate all the others."
