EL DEBARGE PLANNING COMEBACK
R+B singer EL DeBARGE has teamed up with BABYFACE to prepare his pop comeback - he's working on his first release in 15 years.
The former Motown star, 46, has recently been spending time in the recording studio with famed beatmaker Babyface, working on a follow-up to 1992's In The Storm.
And his manager, Gregory Williams, is confident the star will repeat the chart success he experienced when he was a member of his family band DeBarge in the 1980s.
He tells Vibe magazine, "The voice is still there. El still has that gift."
The news comes just weeks after DeBarge was arrested for alleged domestic violence.

Correction, this is El's first studio album release since 1994's HEART MIND AND
SOUL, 13 years ago. Babyface collaborated on almost 1/2 of that ago, so it is
wonderful to see him teaming up with El on his comeback project. El is his own
worst enemy, so it remains to see if he can pull this comeback off and if the
public will accept him
