EGYPTIAN TYCOON CHARGED OVER LEBANESE SINGER'S DEATH

LATEST: An Egyptian billionaire has been charged with hiring a hitman to kill Lebanese singer SUZANNE TAMIM.
The star's body was discovered in July (08) in the city of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, with media reports suggesting she suffered multiple stab wounds and mutilation to her face.
An unnamed 39-year-old man was arrested last month (Aug08) on suspicion of murdering the singer.
And now Egyptian tycoon Heshaam Talaat Moustafa has been charged with allegedly ordering the killing. The indictment states that he is accused of paying a hitman $2 million (GBP1.08 million) to carry out the murder.
Moustafa is also a member of the Egyptian parliament, but he has been stripped of his immunity from prosecution by the government.
Tamim shot to fame in Lebanon in 1996 after winning a TV talent show, but her music career was marred by her troubled personal life.
She was reported to have fled to Egypt in 2007 and subsequently moved to Dubai following a series of bitter legal battles with her estranged second husband, music producer Adel Maatouk.
