Grammy-winning EARTH, WIND + FIRE star VERDINE WHITE has set up a new music management company and record label to help aspiring musicians find fame. The SEPTEMBER hitmaker has partnered with entertainment industry fashion guru SCOTT JULION to form JEP Entertainment. White says, "JEP will develop the raw talent of vocalists and musicians in order to prepare them for today's competitive and ever-evolving music market." The partnership's first release comes from California funk sixpiece SLAPBAK. The group's debut album, THE KEY, features a remake of WAR classic LOWRIDER.
