EAGLES STAR HENLEY PAYS TRIBUTE TO MCCAIN

U.S. presidential hopeful JOHN MCCAIN has picked up an odd endorsement as he prepares to battle either HILLARY CLINTON or BARACK OBAMA - from EAGLES star DON HENLEY.
While many celebrities are flocking to support the Democrats, Henley insists Republican Arizona senator MCCain has impressed him.
The rocker tells Rolling Stone magazine, "I have a lot of respect for John MCCain. I've met with him on various issues and testified before the Senate Commerce Committee that he chaired.
"He was very fair. I like the fact that he doesn't always go along with the extreme right wing of his party."
But Henley is quick to point out his comments don't mean he'll be voting Republican in November (08).
He adds, "I didn't say I was going to vote for him. I just respect him as a human being."
