DYLAN VISITS STEWART AT WRONG ADDRESS

BOB DYLAN once shocked a man named DAVE when he visited his home, thinking it belonged to his famous friend DAVE STEWART. The American singer had decided to surprise Stewart while visiting London, and was struck by complete coincidence when despite having the wrong address, the door was answered by a woman whose husband's name was Dave. The unnamed woman welcomed Dylan in, before calling her husband, who was at work, and telling him, 'Bob Dylan's here to see you.' Stewart explains, "I must have heard a hundred variations of that story. "It happened in Maida Vale (where Stewart once lived) or in Crouch End (where he had a studio). "People have told me, 'You were in a fish restaurant...' "It gets more and more complicated every time I hear it. And that's just a tiny story about Dylan ringing a doorbell..."
