DYLAN SONG FEATURED IN FIRST U.K. AD CAMPAIGN
BOB DYLAN has given the green light for a U.K. corporation to use his iconic track BLOWIN' IN THE WIND in a national advertising campaign.
The folk legend rarely allows his songs to be used in TV marketing promos, but has signed off a deal for British company The Co-Operative Group to air the tune in its forthcoming commercials.
It will be the first occasion the musician has given permission for his song to be used by British advertisers.
The singer and poet gave the deal the thumbs-up because the company - which includes supermarkets, funeral homes and banking services - operates according to fair trade and ethical guidelines.
Dylan has previously allowed a selection of his tracks to be used in U.S. adverts, including campaigns for Cadillac, Apple and lingerie brand Victoria's Secret.

I`ts an amazing advert which stopped me in my tracks first time I saw, and
heard, it. Talk about "prick up my ears". The song sounded so fresh and the
visuals were perfect. Well done! This shows what a wee bit of co-operation can
do and brings these classic songs back into the public domain without
compromising ethics!
