DUPRI GETS LUCKY ON FRIDAY THE 13TH

Friday the 13th proved to be lucky for rap mogul JERMAINE DUPRI - he landed his favourite charity $50,000 (£35,000) after winning a basketball competition during the NBA All-Star Weekend (13Feb09) in Phoenix, Arizona.
The So So Def founder was one of five contestants to take part in the T-Mobile myFaves Shot of a Lifetime event, shooting up to five hoops with the opportunity to win up to $50,000 for their chosen charity.
And Dupri showed off his ball skills to the packed audience, scoring five out of five - landing him the maximum prize money available.
After his win, he told the crowd, "I've learned a lot as a young man coming up in the ranks of the music business and saw many examples of what celebrity really means - using your blessings to bless somebody else.
"Not for fanfare or fame, but to be able to hopefully help someone else in need."
Dupri will donate the money to youth organisation the Boys & Girls Club in his native Atlanta, Georgia.
