DUNST PARTY CRASH REPORTS UNTRUE

Oscar-winning director JANE CAMPION has hit out at reports KIRSTEN DUNST crashed a party held in her honour in New York last week (15Sep09), insisting the actress was invited to the bash.
The New York Daily News alleged the Spider-Man star showed up uninvited to a luncheon for Campion at the posh Plaza Hotel's Oak Room and performed an impromptu audition in a bid to land a role in the filmmaker's latest project, Runaway.
A source told the newspaper, "Kirsten is tap-dancing like crazy to get a job!"
But Campion has lashed out at the reports - because Dunst was her guest at the lunch event.
Her representative tells website GossipCop.com that Campion asked Dunst “if she wouldn’t mind meeting her at the Plaza,” and denies the actress put on any kind of audition.
