DUNCAN DITCHES BODYGUARD DUTY FOR FILMS

THE GREEN MILE star MICHAEL CLARKE DUNCAN was a bodyguard for top Hollywood stars before deciding to try his own luck as an actor. The beefy 360 pound (163 kilograms) star watched over celebrities including WILL SMITH, JAMIE FOXX, MARTIN LAWRENCE and LL COOL J, who encouraged him to give acting a try. He explains, "It was funny because I was doing (TV series) LIVING SINGLE with QUEEN LATIFAH and I said, 'I'm going to be leaving you guys because I'm going to go and audition for this movie called ARMAGEDDON.' They were like, 'Good luck, Michael!' and that was the last time I saw them."
